Fallout 3's story (when you get a choice) always felt like two extremes on either side, or you get a normal decision and an evil decision with no real in-between for them. New vegas felt like they had those choices, a few more choices, and a skill check or two to really make those more limited skill points matter.
Take a look at Sunny Smiles at 1:36 in the first video. Forget the sexy outfit. That face is the level of detail you can expect from some of the NPC overhaul mods like New Vegas Redesigned 3. What you really want are some of dragbody's mods and New Vegas Redesigned 3. They make many of the NPCs look far better than anything in Fallout 4. The writing in Fallout 4 is atrocious, it's bland and shallow and so are the characters. Yep. New Vegas has one thing that Bethesda does not: Chris Avellone. There isn't anyone better at designing roleplaying games with quality writing then CA. Hands down that is definitely one thing Fallout 4 does NOT do better. Fallout New Vegas is the same type of game Fallout 4 is. The only difference being that one miserably failed in the gameplay department, and the other one miserably failed in the story department. People are cutting Fallout NV a lot of slack by calling it something it's not and thus ignoring its biggest flaw.Fallout 4's gunplay is better than the rest (Image credit: Bethesda) While the roleplaying and storytelling doesn't come close to matching New Vegas or even Fallout 3, Fallout 4's world is aMB8Rrl.
