usb-c displayport monitor good morning, I am trying to connect a new MacBook Air 2020 to an external monitor with no HDMI input, but only Displayport or VGA input. I purchased a usb-c to HDMI adapter (plugged to the Mac) and used a HDMI-Displayport cable to connect to the external screen, but it does not work. The monitor will often say that the USB-C Input is “inactive” and nothing will display. The Surface Book 2 does continue to charge via the USB-C though while in this state though. Occasionally, but not usually, disconnecting and reconnecting the USB-C cable from the Surface Book 2 will bring the external monitor back to life.

LG yes Gsync and I have the 3080.The USBC on the left the monitor never recognized the signal or never got USBC to DP adapter..a guy had a 7i with the same symptom and believes the port is bad.We are talking about replacing the whole MB if that's the case.. YellowMerigold. The USB-C port is much more reliable. Specs for nerds: Monitor - LG UltraGear 27GK65S-B (2 HDMI ports, 1 DP, 3.5mm headphone out) -Computer (Laptop) - Dell G3 15 (1 HDMI out, USB-C port that does everything [including DP] except charge the laptop) Just to note: Cables work with other devices on this monitor, and my computer connects via USB-C

Subject says it all for the most part. I have an external USB hub connected to one on my Thunderbolt 3/USB-C ports on my MacBook Air early 2020 model running Catalina 10.15.4. At random times during the day (2-3 times a day) my Logitech G602 mouse and external Apple Keyboard will stop responding completely and only a reboot will restore
LG 49WL95C-W --- USB-C port stopped working for display. Tech Support. I've had the LG for around 4 months. It is set up so my peripherals (mouse, Keyboard, Webcam, Mic) are connected to the screen's USB-A ports and all feed through to my laptop via USB-C. The picture is also fed from my laptop to the monitor via the same USB-C cable.
