For Steam users with the Kingdoms expansion, I got it to work. Here's what I did: 1. Download mod. 2. Drag and drop the "data" folder and the "medieval2.cfg" from the "mod" folder into the "Medieval II Total War" folder. Click "copy and replace" to all. 3. Uninstall Medieval II, then reinstall it.

Medieval 2 may be old, but with a few tweaks you can make the game look pretty damn good. Also, this guide applies to the base game itself, which means the graphics tweaks are fully compatible with any other mod (Third Age, Stainless Steel, Europa Barbarorum 2, etc.).
