Halo 2 on Xbox 360 did deliver its own set of problems. At one point during the hour-long session, each on of our team members was simply unable to join the session. Associate Editor Jon Miller
Yup. Halo 2 is backwards compatible on the 360 so just put the OG Xbox disc in and it should work. Think you might need a proper hard drive (Arcade's built in storage doesn't work). Keep in mind no online features will be available since original Xbox Live shut down a long time ago.
In settings, go to the network menu, and flip the fourth option down, called platform-based matchmaking, to disabled. Then, make sure everyone you want to play with has this disabled as well. Doing so will allow all players to participate in matches with and against each other, regardless of their console or PC.

Twitter. The Halo franchise is one of those iconic console exclusive ones that we’d love to play on our PCs one day. Thankfully, a cool feature is coming our way since we’ll be able to play Halo 3 on PC through the Xbox 360 emulator Xenia. The fact that Halo 3 on PC is playable doesn’t mean that the emulator works perfectly.
