So it all adds up to either a sensor fault, or a thermostat fault. Since the above, I cleared the fault and it comes back on occasionally (and sometimes clears itself), but the overall temperature of the car being cold is constant. In-car heaters get to luke-warm at best, nothing to warm you on a cold winter morning!
HOW TO TEST CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR ON A CARIf you need to test camshaft sensor on your car because you have engine light on and code that relates to camsha

grahamew2. I have just replaced the clutch on my C4 Grand Picasso 1.6 hdi. All went ok and is working fine but after restarting the engine i have ABS , ESP and handbrake faulty warning lights on the dash and. the handbrake will only work manually. I have checked and as far as I can see everything is reconnected.
Check Engine Speed Sensor (G28). Read Measuring Value Blocks (MVB). Special Notes: The Engine Speed Sensor (G28) is also used as a reference sensor for the crankshaft position. Check the wiring to/from the sensor and engine control module to rule out harness and module damage due to engine oil or coolant from a failed sensor or tensioner.
Citroen C4 l 2004 front left ABS wheel speed sensor fault. Hi, ABS and ESP lights up on the dashboard. Im getting a reading on Kph when driving on three sensors, except for the front left one. The left front wheel speed sensor has been replaced plus the ESP module and pump, and the brake-light switch (7800) (See schematic)
Here is how you can easily test both your crankshaft position sensor and camshaft position sensor. It's very important to be able to test these sensor since
P0016 code stands for Crankshaft Position – Camshaft Position Correlation (Bank 1 Sensor A). This indicates that the engine timing is having problems resulting from the misalignment in the crankshaft and camshaft positions. Bank 1: Means that the problem is on the engine side containing cylinder 1. Sensor A: Indicates that the issue is
if you test the sensor when plugged in depending where the crank is you might get 0 volts. the wires in the loom were corroded and dragging the 8 volts from the ecu to ground. To test you should first unplug the sensor and check connector. There should be 0v 8v and 5v. the sensor switches the 8 volt to ground. The first step in troubleshooting a crank sensor is physical inspection. The sensor is at either the front or the back of the crankshaft, so it’s usually located either on the transmission bellhousing or behind the crankshaft pulley. There should be a small air gap, usually about a millimeter or two, between the sensor and the reluctor. LzBHkD.
